My stay at the hotel was quite pleasing. The room was spotless and cozy, and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. However, the dining experience left something to be desired with cold food. The location was convenient and close to downtown attractions, while the facilities were satisfactory. The value for money was reasonable, considering the amenities provided.

The room with a king-sized bed I stayed in was marked clean and comfortable. Upon arrival, it was a bit warm at 78°, but I was able to adjust the temperature for a restful sleep. The blackout curtains made it easy to create a completely dark environment for a good night's rest.

The service was excellent overall. The staff knew how to efficiently check me in and were pleasant and helpful throughout my stay, providing useful tips. However, one instance of extreme unprofessionalism was noted, slightly dampening the experience.

The location was great for the event I attended, and I would choose to stay here again when passing through Des Moines. It was conveniently close to the Capitol, downtown area, and just off I-235 for easy access. Despite not being the newest branch like Avid and Holiday Inn on 33rd in Cedar Rapids, it offered a good location for various activities.

The dining experience, especially the conference food, wasn't the best as some items were served cold. It was a standard hotel breakfast similar to others. However, the inclusion of fresh and local products was appreciated.
